Bio: Kenny Chesney is a Nashville, Tennessee native, and is one of the best selling country artists of all time. To date, Chesney has recorded 13 albums, 11 of which have been certified gold or higher. Although today Chesney enjoys one of the most lucrative careers in country, it wasn't always that way. After making his first record in 1993, Chesney was dropped by a failing record label. Soon after though, Chesney rebounded and was signed to BNA, the label that would help him record the first top ten hits that would launch him into stardom.
Since breaking through, Chesney has become a megastar not only in the country realm, but in Hollywood as well. His much publicized marriage and eventual divorce to actress Renee Zellweger have made him the subject of many hollywood entertainment television shows and magazines. Chesney always returns to his one true love, however, which is country music. He routinely sells out venues across the country whenever he hits the road, and in 2006 was even asked to perform in the Whitehouse by President Bush.
